The Living Room Theatre formed in 2000. It is a not-for-profit production company comprising of creators, designers, performers and technical crew. The company makes poetic works that are beautiful to watch, to experience. Mixing physical theatre, installation, sound and film with text, the works collect the uneasiness of life and the random acts of cruelty, interweaving characters between life and desire, dreams and blurred reality.

"I became fascinated with the collaboration between art forms experimenting with conversations between visual arts, actors and musicians. The work is about the internal. The state of desire. The desire for something better. The subtext of everyday life." - Michelle St Anne

St. Anne's work mixes physical theatre, installation and text in an open-ended and happily inconclusive piece about female inter-relationships....St. Anne’s production is in the gallery space which she effectively fills with strong performances, striking lighting (Jo Elliott) and excellent sound (Peter Keogh). The performers contribute fine work, and this is an entertaining and often funny contemporary performance work, one that mixes serious intent with wit and keen insight."
Stephen Dunne / Sydney Morning Herald, 4 October 2004
